pff 2010 - popsicle launch... or how i learned to stop worrying and love the bomb...

Sometimes L belives the world really is out to get her. And you know what? Some days I’m inclined to agree. This week, the one week when we are so ridiculously busy, the one week we need to be blogging, what happens? The power goes out for two days. *sigh*

Sooooooo better late than never here are the pictures from the launch of Popsicle! The nautical themed night saw staff dressed to match in sailor hats and maritime attire. Guests were given origami hat/boat pins and the pop-up store itself is held in sea containers!

L wore an electric blue wig to the event to change it up a bit and it went down a hit! Seeing as her hair was her main feature she kept the rest of her look toned down with black jeans, top, vintage silver and turquoise metal belt and her studded Christian Louboutin boots.

Fellow bloggers Neon Blond, The Velvet Bow, Perth Fashionista, Girl Friday and April Rose made the evening an absolute treat!

The dazzling Zoe Trotman made another appearance in a magnificent dress, this time in a stunning pink number adorned with sugary sweet treats (one of which smelled delicious) Some of her wonderful creations are available in limed number at the Popsicle Pop-up Store throughout the festival. Along with scrumptious, girly, feminine designs by Little Gracie and PeppermintMILK, jewellery by Prufrock, textiles and wearable art from White Square and much, much more!

Last night saw L out for her first two shows of the festival, Times Square and Ruth Tarvydas. L had a wonderful time sipping on bubbles and gossiping with her entourage of gay gentlemen as they nibbled on canapés and posed for pictures in the Kurv bar before the shows. Unfortunately (another example of how the world is out to get us) L’s camera battery was left at home, cradled in its charger.... but fear not she took loads of notes on her blackberry and will hopefully find some picture tonight!
