trillions of minuscule gold crystals envelope the girls feet.  endless, blue oceans hang above her head. she stares into the sun.  purposely blinding herself.  familiar laughter travels through time to the golden beach where their sixteen year old selves lounge.  giddy covered and in sand.  forgotten memories and marbles found.  no time had past in their eyes.

her memories, resurrected.

her teenage family fly down to the Pacific's edge, squealing in delight.  as tiny arctic drops land, biting their skin.  icy cold water swells and bubbles around the girls toes.  she watches her family of memories, they frolic in the waves.  the girl captures, lost, cherished moments missed last time around.

heart sick and eyes filled up with glue...

L's outfit for the unveiling of unveiled. Another spur of the moment/throw on two minutes before you leave the house outfit. As the original one she decided to make an hour before leaving just didn't cut it. Determined to wear something she made, L teamed these beautiful silver brocade flares with this whimsical dress, resulting in her feeling like someone from the future. She, of course considers this a success.

under the veil...

Saturday evening L had the pleasure of being invited to the "unveiling" of the West Austalian Museum's latest exhibition. A marriage with the Royal Victoria and Albert Museum in London saw its famed collection of wedding dresses, plucked from history brought over to beautiful and isolated Perth.

Unveiled - featuring the most intricate, delicate and romantic dresses plucked from forgotten times, will be on show till March. With beautiful, rare couture pieces from some of the top fashion houses and designers including, Galliano, Christian Lacroix, Vivienne Westwood, Charles Frederick Worth, Aurelio Costarella and Phillip Treacy, creating an exhibition that surely must not be missed by any fashion or history enthusiast.

Her outfit for the unveiling of Light up Brookfield. She was quite enamoured with the whole night. The lights, the company, the beautiful skirt she whipped up the hour before. Everything.

This beautiful satin fabric was cut and draped on the bias to cling/enhance L's non-existent curves. The incredibly elegant skirt was dressed down using a Dolce & Gabbana athletic top. Resulting in an infatuating silhouette.

On the way back to the car Nelly and L played in the lights. Much to their bewilderment they twirled and laughed and sang Christmas carols to themselves.

Wednesday night, as the sun went down and the sky turned dark St Georges Terrace sparkled.

The sleek new Brookfield Place stopped the city in its tracks with their spectacular Christmas lights.  Beautiful old heritage buildings were given a festive makeover with an array of stunning Christmas themed projections, creating a magical illusion.  A sight to behold, cars slowed to a stop, iPhones were whipped out and suddenly St Georges Terrace was packed. Child like smiles spreading, contagiously amongst the crowd.

with flowers in their hair they watched the studio fill.

and sipping golden bubbles,
